Aben Gold Corp. Assesses Historical Tungsten Results from 2014 Re-Assay Program and Plans 2026 Exploration Program to Target Both Tungsten and Gold at the Justin Project

MWN-AI** Summary

Aben Gold Corp. (TSX-V: ABM), a Canadian gold exploration company, is focusing on its Justin Gold Project in southeast Yukon, where it is assessing historical tungsten results from a 2014 re-assay program while planning an extensive exploration initiative for 2026. The Justin Gold Project spans approximately 7,400 hectares and is strategically situated within the Tintina Gold Belt, about 35 km from the former Cantung Tungsten Mine. This dual-focused program aims to evaluate both tungsten and gold resources, capitalizing on the project's multi-metal potential.

The historical re-assay program analyzed tungsten (WO3) in 230 drill core samples from previous drilling, revealing promising intersections of tungsten that coincided with prior gold mineralization. Notable findings included Hole JN12016, which returned an 8.50-meter interval grading 0.39% WO3, alongside significant gold values, and Hole JN12013, which included 28.90 meters of 0.10% WO3 near surface with additional gold intersections. Other drill results also indicated higher-grade tungsten sub-intervals exceeding 1% WO3.

Riley Trimble, President and CEO, emphasized the importance of the 2014 tungsten data in informing the upcoming exploration program, highlighting tungsten's growing strategic relevance. The 2026 program will employ a multifaceted approach, incorporating diamond drilling, geological modeling, and sampling to unlock the Justin Project's value for shareholders. Aben Gold aims to enhance its resource base in geopolitically favorable jurisdictions while increasing its market position through these efforts. The company has 28.2 million shares outstanding and is committed to driving exploration success at its promising assets. For more information, visit www.abengold.com.

MWN-AI** Analysis

Aben Gold Corp. (TSX-V: ABM) recently announced plans to assess historical tungsten results and conduct a comprehensive exploration program at its 100% owned Justin Gold Project in Yukon. This initiative has the potential to position Aben as a critical player in the metals market, particularly given the growing strategic importance of tungsten alongside gold.

The historical data from previous drilling highlights notable tungsten grades, with specific intervals exhibiting grades exceeding 1% WO3, alongside substantial gold mineralization. The strategic location of the Justin Project, near the past-producing Cantung Tungsten Mine, further enhances its attractiveness. As the global demand for critical minerals rises, particularly in tech and defense sectors, Aben’s dual-target approach could significantly bolster its market position.

For investors, this announcement signifies a proactive strategy focusing on the underexplored synergies between tungsten and gold. As the 2026 exploration program takes shape, characterized by targeted drilling and geophysical surveys, the potential for new resource discoveries adds a layer of upside appeal. Aben’s commitment to unlocking the value of its multi-metal resource through modern techniques may drive interest from institutional and strategic investors.

Market conditions for gold and tungsten will remain pivotal in shaping Aben's future trajectory. Investors should closely monitor commodity price fluctuations, regulatory developments in the mining sector, and Aben’s operational advancements. Given the promising exploration outlook and the strategic focus on critical minerals, Aben Gold Corp. presents an intriguing opportunity for those looking to capitalize on the evolving landscape of resource exploration. As always, potential investors should conduct thorough research and consider risk factors associated with mining investments.

Vancouver, BC, March 24, 2026 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Aben Gold Corp. (TSX-V: ABM) (OTCID: ABNAF) (Frankfurt: ML1) (“Aben” or “the Company”) is pleased to announce that it is actively assessing the high-grade tungsten results from its October 16, 2014 News Release at the 100% owned Justin Gold Project in southeast Yukon. The Company is simultaneously planning a comprehensive 2026 exploration program that will incorporate both tungsten and gold targets to fully evaluate the multi-metal potential of this highly prospective property.

The 2014 re-assay program involved tungsten-specific analysis (WO?) of 230 drill core samples from seven of nine previously drilled holes at the POW Zone. This work was initiated after visible scheelite mineralization was identified in core using short-wave ultraviolet lamps, and anomalous tungsten values were noted in prior multi-element ICP data. Key highlights from the 2014 results included:

  • Hole JN12016: 8.50 metres grading 0.39% WO?, including 1.00 metre grading 1.12% WO?. This interval was coincident with previous gold mineralization of 5.60 metres grading 4.12 g/t Au, including 2.60 metres grading 8.20 g/t Au. (News Release: Sept 25, 2012)
  • Hole JN12013: 28.90 metres grading 0.10% WO? starting near surface, plus 1.10 metres grading 1.15% WO?. This hole also returned prior gold values of 7.40 metres grading 1.81 g/t Au, including 2.20 metres grading 4.42 g/t Au. (News Release: Sept 25, 2012)
  • Additional intercepts from the 2014 re-assays included 12.00 metres grading 0.25% WO? (JN11010) and 7.20 metres grading 0.27% WO? (JN12019), with several higher-grade sub-intervals exceeding 1% WO?.

These results, combined with the Project’s strategic location within the Tintina Gold Belt only 35 km southwest of the past-producing Cantung Tungsten Mine, highlight the Justin Project’s potential to host significant tungsten mineralization in addition to its established gold discoveries.

The tungsten results referenced above are historical in nature. The Company is not treating the historical tungsten results as current mineral resources or mineral reserves.

Riley Trimble, President and CEO of Aben Gold Corp., commented: “The 2014 tungsten re-assay data has been an important historical dataset that we are now thoroughly reviewing with modern eyes and current market context. Tungsten is a critical mineral with growing strategic importance, and the coincident gold-tungsten mineralization at the POW Zone presents a compelling opportunity. Our 2026 exploration program will be designed to test and expand both metals simultaneously through targeted drilling, sampling, and geophysical follow-up. This integrated approach aligns with our goal of unlocking the full value of the Justin Project for our shareholders.”

The Justin Gold Project covers approximately 7,400 hectares and hosts multiple zones of gold and tungsten mineralization. The 2026 program is expected to include diamond drilling, surface sampling, and detailed geological modeling to advance both commodities.
