GRANDE PRAIRIE, ALBERTA –TheNewswire - (May 7, 2026): ANGKOR RESOURCES CORP.(TSXV: ANK) (“ANGKOR” OR “THE COMPANY”)reports the successful completion of a 20 line-kilometre InducedPolarization (“IP”) geophysical survey — an electrical methodthat highlights metal-bearing rocks beneath the surface — over theGossan Hills copper-iron target on its Andong Meas mineral explorationlicense in Ratanakiri Province, Cambodia. The survey, announced onMarch 31, 2026 (see ANGKOR RESOURCESUNDERTAKES IP SURVEY OVER COPPER/IRON SKARN ADJACENT TO CANADA WALLCOPPER PORPHYRY TARGET, ANDONG MEAS LICENSE, CAMBODIA), has resulted in several chargeability anomalies whichcorrespond with ground magnetic features and soil copper geochemicalanomalies. Three of these targets will be tested by diamond drilling. An 1,100-metre diamond drill program is being initiated to testthese new targets.

Dennis Ouellette, VP Exploration, comments: “These IPresults are what would be expected from an IP survey over a copperporphyry with an adjacent skarn zone.”

NEW DRILL TARGETS AND NEXTSTEPS

Two priority areas have been identified:

  • The northern target — where the undergroundelectrical signature crosses into the southern edge of the Canada Wallcopper target. This may image the direct connection between thecopper-rich end of the Gossan Hills zone and the Canada Wall coppersystem itself.

  • The Line 6 target — where the underground electricalsignature, surface magnetite, and zinc-lead in soils all line up. Thisdefines a separate, zinc-lead target on the same mineralizedtrend.

To test these targets, the Company is initiating a1,100-metre diamond drill program. Drill collar locations and anglesare being finalized based on the size, depth, and shape of theunderground targets imaged by the IP survey. Drilling is the next stepin advancing Gossan Hills toward defining the size and grade of apotentially significant copper-zinc-lead system on the Andong Measlicense.

IP SURVEY RESULTS

The 20 line-kilometre IP survey was completed acrosseight 2,500-metre lines using a dipole-dipole electricalconfiguration. The data was modelled into 2-D cross-sections of thesubsurface that highlight the presence of metal-bearing minerals atdepth — the type of minerals that host copper, zinc, andlead.

The survey clearly mapped the Gossan Hills mineralizedzone and was strongest on the northernmost line, which also crossedthe southernmost portion of the Canada Wall copper target. Thestrongest surface soil copper anomaly along the Gossan Hills trendlies 500 metres west of the Canada Wall copper target, and the IPresults indicate that the underground signature continues at deptheastward — toward the deep magnetic high outlined by the Company’s2022 ground magnetic survey.

A second underground signature on the east end of Line6 coincides with an area where abundant magnetite was noted atsurface. This area is also marked by anomalous lead and zinc in soils— a chemical fingerprint consistent with the more distal,zinc-lead-rich edge of a copper porphyry system.

Figure 2:Schematic cross-section of a porphyry-skarn mineral system, illustrating how copper concentrates in the proximal skarn closest tothe porphyry intrusion and grades outward into zinc, lead, and iron inthe distal skarn and base-metal replacement zones. Although theexample shown is a porphyry molybdenum system, the same architectureapplies to porphyry copper systems like Canada Wall — with theproximal copper-rich end of the Gossan Hills skarn lying closest tothe Canada Wall intrusion and the distal iron-zinc-lead-rich endextending south. GOSSAN HILLS: TARGET GEOLOGY(RECAP)

The Gossan Hills consists of a northwest-trending bodyof carbonate-rich layered rocks that have been baked and reshaped byheat and pressure. These rocks are highly reactive to themetal-bearing fluids associated with copper porphyry systems. Theyform a wide downward-arching fold — a syncline — into which theintrusive complex hosting the Canada Wall copper target has pushed upfrom below.

The result is a skarn — a mineralized zone formedwhen hot, metal-bearing fluids from an intrusion react with thesurrounding carbonate rocks, depositing ore minerals as they go. AsDennis Ouellette has previously described it: “The Gossan Hillsskarn is several hundreds of metres long and geochemically graduatesfrom iron oxide (goethite, limonite) at the southern, more distal endto massive magnetite, then zinc-lead, and finally more copper-rich atthe northern, more proximal end.” This natural ordering of metalsfrom iron through zinc-lead to copper is a classic indicator of awell-developed, potentially economic mineralized system.

These rock layers tilt about 35 degrees eastward, toward a deep, strong magnetic signature outlined by the 2022 groundmagnetic survey. This geometry — surface mineralization tiltingtoward a strong magnetic feature deep underground — is consistentwith a copper porphyry model and provided the original reason forundertaking the IP survey.

ITC PARTNERSHIP UPDATE

The data interpretation phase of the IP survey wascarried out in collaboration with the Institute of Technology ofCambodia (“ITC”), with one ITC student using the survey results asthe basis of a fifth-year thesis. This continues the partnershipbetween Angkor and ITC announced with the survey commencement andsupports the Company’s ongoing commitment to building Cambodia’snational capacity in applied geophysics alongside its explorationactivities.

ABOUT ANGKOR RESOURCESCORP.

ANGKOR Resources Corp. is a publiccompany, listed on the TSX-Venture Exchange, and is a leading resourceexplorer and developer in Cambodia working towards mineral and energysolutions across Cambodia.   The Company's mineral subsidiary,Angkor Gold Corp. Co., Ltd., currently holds two mineral explorationlicenses in Cambodia with multiple prospects in copper and gold. Bothlicenses are in their first two-year renewal term.

Angkor’s Cambodian energy subsidiary,EnerCam Resources Co., Ltd., was granted an onshore oil and gaslicense in the southwest quadrant of Cambodia called Block VIII. The original 7,300 km² license wasreduced to approximately 4,300 km² upon voluntary removal of parksand protected areas, subsequently adjusted through governmentremapping directed by the Ministry of Mines and Energy, and thenexpanded by 220 km² with the addition of the Kirirom Basin in thenortheast, resulting in the current area of approximately 4,095km².

EnerCam is actively advancing oil andgas exploration activities onshore to meet its mission to proveCambodia as a nation with its own oil and gas resources.  The Companycompleted 2D-seismic in 2025 and has identified multiple drill targetswith multiple target zones.   As it now works to complete anadditional Environmental Impact Assessment on the drilling targetareas, the Company plans to follow with drilling Cambodia’s first privately financed onshore exploratory oiland gas wells under a Production Sharing Contract.
