Alibaba Group Holding Limited ( BABA ) has been my favorite international stock for the best part of the past 5 years. For good reason, too. I always thought the company was unduly punished amid geopolitical tensions, but to be honest, I did not expect Mr. Market to take many years to reward long-term shareholders. Even after an 80% gain this year, BABA stock is still down 44% in the past 5 years. The going has most certainly been tough for Alibaba shareholders, including yours truly....
