BNP Paribas: Outperformance In 2025, But Insufficient Upside In 2026

In this article, I'll be providing an update on BNP Paribas ( BNPQF ), an investment I had over a year ago. It was part of a major set of investments in European banking when those banks, including BNP, were underappreciated and, in my view, undervalued. Not only did I make good returns from BNP Paribas, but also from Societe Generale ( SCGLY ) and from Credit Agricole ( CRARY ). However, I sold all of those positions over a year ago, and I reinvested the capital into other companies. For the most part, I'm happy with the decision to do that. While some of the banks have seen some outperformance relative to the SPY, up about 9% since my last article on BNP Paribas, found here, the investments I've made are mostly more attractive than it would have been (in my view) to keep BNP in my portfolio....
