Investment Thesis
It is going to be difficult to analyze the valuation of CF Industries ( CF ), at least within a Discounted Cash Flow "DCF" framework. A DCF model needs cash flow forecasts, and CF's cash flows are dependent on the price of nitrogen fertilizers (e.g., Urea and UAN). Nitrogen fertilizers are, in turn, made of natural gas and influenced by its price. I know from experience that predicting commodity prices is a fool's errand....
