Over the last couple of months, I have been looking for some alternatives to investing in passively managed ETFs that track the S&P 500. In June, I wrote about the SPDR S&P 1500 Value Tilt ETF ( VLU ) in June. I rated the fund as Buy because of its low fees, rising dividends, and added exposure to a wider range of stocks with a more reasonable valuation. On August 1, Seeking Alpha published my review of the Vanguard Russell 1000 Index Fund ETF ( VONE ). I also found that fund to be an attractive alternative because of its low fees and diversified, large-cap portfolio....
