From a fund strategy standpoint, ETF.com had a great summary of The WisdomTree Emerging Markets SmallCap Dividend Fund ETF ( DGS ): It tracks a dividend-weighted index of small-cap, dividend-paying emerging market stocks. It holds emerging market companies that have paid dividends over the past calendar year and weights them based on the size of dividends paid. DGS only includes stocks that are in the bottom 10% of the total market cap of the WisdomTree Emerging Markets Dividend Index. The resulting portfolio is a proxy for an Emerging Market Small Cap Value asset class (EM SCV)....
