Discovery Silver: Riding On Bullish Precious Metal Pricing And Robust Operational Performance

The precious metal markets have had a considerable run over the past year, with spot gold up 85.75% (YoY) while the price of spot silver has surged 256.30% (YoY). Early in Q2 2025, global royalty and stream company, Franco-Nevada Corporation (FNV), made an equity investment in Canadian precious metals explorer, Discovery Silver Corp ( DSVSF ) that included, among other aspects, a 4.25% net smelter return (NSR) royalty on its Porcupine complex. DSVSF is up 987.67% (YoY), meaning that FNV has gained a return of more than 260% since April 2025. In its Q3 2025 report , FNV stated that it sold a part of its DSVSF equity investment, attaining a profit of $67.4 million from a total income of $84.4 million. FNV sold $17 million worth of its equity at DSVSF, and the profit represented a growth of almost 400%. I will discuss why I am rating DSVSF as a hold, as it is trading within its fair valuation while demonstrating robust operating performance into 2026 amid positive resource development and high potential growth....
