Ford Is A Compelling Deep Value Play - Initiating With A Buy

Not many American brands are as iconic as Ford Motor Company ( F ) and so it is time for me to initiate coverage on the stock. Interestingly, in mid March, Seeking Alpha gave Ford the second highest quant rating within the consumer discretionary sector for companies with a market cap of above $10 billion. Therefore, an analysis now seems timely. As you can see in the stock price chart below, Ford has had a month to forget but still 52 week gains are a very respectable 21%. Today, I will try to determine whether this steep selloff is in fact a major buying opportunity or not....
