Introduction:
Since Nov. 2025, the market has been mostly trading in a tight range between S&P 500 ( SPX ) levels 6600 and 6950. However, the S&P500 did cross the SPX7000 level briefly in January, but it has not done so in any meaningful way. There have been so many developments in the last month or so, ranging from cooling inflation, the Fed holding interest rates steady, the tariff situation in light of the Supreme Court order, and the evolving geopolitical situation around Iran. On top of that, the AI overvaluations and overborrowing have gripped the markets for some time. Also, fear of the AI impacts on software stocks has resulted in brutal revaluations and may be overdone. The outperformance of the foreign markets (over the U.S. market) and rotation of big money from technology to industrial, materials, energy, and utility sectors is continuing....
