Last month my son and some of his friends celebrated at a GEN Restaurant Group ( GENK ) Korean BBQ restaurant. He came home raving about the place and heaped lots of compliments on the food and all the meats available for self-BBQ. So when it came time for a family outing to celebrate his recent accomplishments, Gen Korean BBQ House was an easy choice. On my way to reviewing the menu and location, I got distracted by the “ Investors ” link on the home page. Much to my surprise, I discovered that the company’s stock has been a terrible investment ever since its IPO. Intrigued by the stark contrast between the good food and the bad stock, I took a deep dive to understand the disconnect; I love a good turnaround story....
