Chinese LiDAR and the West

The tech show, CES 2025, has concluded with the Chinese LiDAR companies Hesai ( HSAI ), RoboSense, and Seyond announcing their latest products. Their Western counterparts, Aeva ( AEVA ), introduced a slimmer version of its Atlas sensor prototype, now called Atlas Ultra, while Innoviz ( INVZ ) leaped on the NVIDIA wagon in an iteration of the platform adoption. The company exhibited a similar display to the 2024, including VW van ID. Buzz and i7 model. What was new was the ability of its sensor to eliminate obstructions, like mud splats, from capturing the scene.
