PIMCO Access Income Fund ( PAXS ) operates as a closed-end fund that aims to provide attractive total returns and income generation from its diverse portfolio of credit investments. Unlike traditional equities, funds like PAXS do not rely on the earnings growth of their positions. Instead, PAXS is aligned to succeed as long as its positions can keep up with their required debt obligations and navigate market challenges. When I previously covered PAXS, I issued a hold rating due to the limited growth potential at the time.
