POET Technologies Surges On Fundraising, But Mind The Dilution

Back in December, I upgraded POET Technologies ( POET ) to a hold, leaning toward buy on the ground that their optical engine was getting substantial praise, and they seem to have a good chance of growing in the future. I tempered that positivity, however, because POET is still almost pre-revenue here. They’re barely making products yet, and certainly not making a profit. How long it’s going to take for them to reach break-even remains to be seen, but it’s likely going to be some time....
