Silver And Gold: Volatility Surged
My goal for this market outlook piece is very simple: I want to bring the ongoing volatility for gold and silver to your attention, and it creates a favorable pricing environment for options sellers. In the recent week or so, I have observed some of the most extreme volatilities in silver and gold prices. As an example, the next two charts display the day-to-day percentage change of the iShares Silver Trust ( SLV ) and SPDR Gold Shares (GLD), used here as proxies for gold and silver spot prices.
