Rocket Lab Corporation ( RKLB ) has made it onto the U.S. government’s radar; Rocket Lab getting cozy with the U.S. government isn’t new news per se, but it’s definitely big news. The company announced a massive expansion of its U.S. operations over the weekend to produce space-grade semis and solar cells, winning an almost $24M CHIPS and Science Act award as part of Trump’s agenda to expand and consolidate the American supply chain for national security. This is a big leap for a company founded by Peter Beck, a self-taught engineer with the goal of democratizing space, and which competes with SpaceX ( SPACE ), founded by multi-billionaire Elon Musk....
