Inflation heated up in August as the headline figure for the Consumer Price Index rose to 2.9% year-over-year, up from 2.7% in July and in line with expectations. This is the highest level since January and marks the fourth consecutive month inflation has accelerated. On a monthly basis, prices rose 0.4%, up from the 0.2% growth in July and more than the expected 0.3% monthly increase....
