With repeated references to consumer resilience by both companies and the Fed recently, the holiday season seems to be off to a good start. However, questions remain about what consumers will shop for this holiday season and whether they will hit stores or purchase online. With reports of consumers looking for a better price and value equation for a wide assortment of items, affluent consumers seem increasingly willing to pay more if the value is there.
