Crown Castle Remains Compelling As Management Prepares The Business For A New Chapter

Back in June of last year, one company that I decided to reaffirm as a ‘buy’ candidate was telecommunications infrastructure giant Crown Castle ( CCI ). At one point in the past, I had been very bullish about the company. But fundamentals changed. In particular, the company decided to sell off its Small Cells and Fiber Solutions business and the transaction worth $8.5 billion. But at the time that deal was announced, I was underwhelmed . This was because while some estimates pegged the value of the business as low as $8 billion, some put it as high as $15 billion. Market participants were largely hoping for at least $10 billion as the buyout price. But unfortunately, that did not come to pass....
