Covered call ETFs have risen in popularity as investors seek sources of high income generation. While I believe these funds provide a ton of value for a certain kind of investor, there are some drawbacks that must be considered before initiating a position. When I previously covered Invesco QQQ Income Advantage ETF ( QQA ), I issued a hold rating due to its untested performance over time and its inefficient distributions.
