During the conference call , Murphy Oil ( MUR ) management indicated that they had basically allocated a bit more to exploration than was usually the case. The last article touched upon risk assessment as a part of deciding what to do and what not to do internationally. In Vietnam, the success rate so far has been 100% because those fields have a lot of information and a long production history. This puts the company ahead of some of the competition when it comes to increasing production. But that production in some cases may still be years away....
