China’s official NBS Manufacturing PMI slightly decreased to 50.3 in April 2026 from March's 50.4, exceeding expectations of 50.1. This indicates the second month of growth, although at a slower rate, aided by increased government spending. Conversely, China’s NBS Non-Manufacturing PMI dropped to 49.4 in April from 50.1 in March, falling short of the expected 49.9, indicating a contraction in the services sector.
